Moore Welcomes Class of 2016 Moore Welcomes the Class of 2016
Moore will officially welcome the undergraduate class of 2016 at Convocation on Thursday, August 23 at 11am. This year’s 156 incoming students hail from across the US and around the globe. They represent 20 different states, including Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Virginia.

Meet President Cecelia Fitzgibbon Meet President Cecelia Fitzgibbon
Meet Moore’s eighth president, Cecelia Fitzgibbon. She began her tenure at Moore on July 16, 2012. President Fitzgibbon has spent the last 16 years as a professor, director and department head of Drexel University’s Arts Administration and Arts & Entertainment Enterprise programs. President Fitzgibbon will be inaugurated on September 12, 2012.

iPad<sup>®</sup> Devices Distributed to New Students iPad® Devices Distributed to New Students
The Class of 2016 is the first class to participate in Moore's innovative iPad® initiative. Each new student was given an Apple® iPad®, pre-populated with apps to support the art and design foundation curriculum at Moore. Students received the devices during student orientation August 18–21, 2012.

Maureen Pelta Named new Chair of Liberal Arts Maureen Pelta Named Chair of Liberal Arts
Dr. Maureen Pelta has been named the new faculty chair of liberal arts. Dr. Pelta received her PhD from Bryn Mawr College, and her BA and MA from Temple University. Dr. Pelta served as chair of liberal arts at Moore from 1997 through 2006. Dr. Pelta was instrumental in the development of the new Curatorial Studies major at Moore, which launched in 2006.
